Community Business Partner features in FC Business Magazine

Synectics Solutions’ Community Business Partner, Adam Yates, has been featured in an article in the most recent issue, issue 113, of FC Business magazine.

The article, which reflects on Adam’s career playing as a professional footballer for Port Vale Football Club being cut short by a facial injury sustained in a freak accident, and sees him discussing his new career outside of football with Synectics Solutions.

The new career sees Adam delivering the organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility Charter to develop stronger community ties, and project’s for Port Vale Foundation. Commenting on his career with Port Vale and the ease at which he has adjusted to his new role with Synectics Solutions, Adam said:

“I wasn’t ready to finish playing football but I was ready for a life after football. I was 35 and I’d had a good career. Mentally it was tough but initially moving from football into a new environment was quite an easy transition because I was with a company that was so community based.”

 On Adam’s appointment, Carol Shanahan, Synectics Solution’s managing director said,

“To have Adam join Synectics goes further than to simply underline our unstinting commitment to supporting many aspects of the community in which we’ve based ourselves. It’s also a signal to young people the importance of exploring all opportunities within the world of work and Adam is a fantastic role model, both internally and in the community. We’re delighted to have him with us.
