We have reviewed the agreement between Port Vale and Synectics for the parking as the existing one came to an end at the end of the season. We were grateful that Port Vale took control of the parking arrangements whilst we moved to the new offices and settled in. We have now become very active in the community including the football club and we have also found our feet regarding resourcing of staff etc.
We are very aware it is important to increase the gate at Port Vale and for its profile to be built positively within the local community. We promote the club at every available opportunity around Burslem and wish to help build the relationship between the two wherever possible.
Our plan for next season is to run and staff the car park ourselves on match days, charge the same as this season and use all the money we make to purchase match day tickets that we will donate to institutions (schools, churches, charities etc) within the Burslem and Tunstall neighbourhoods. We have been working with Tom Sherratt and will look to complement his work at the Port Vale Academy and also Ally Simcock at the Supporters club. We feel this would benefit the football club to a greater extent than the arrangement for this season as the gate size would increase whilst the revenue generated would be increased by the additional concourse sales.
Although this arrangement means we do not qualify for the sponsorship of the Railway stand which we were proud to have last season we feel both the club and the community will benefit much more
