Synectics are a market leader in fraud prevention, data-driven technology and insight-led solutions. As we modernise and scale, we’re looking for a hands-on, driven Lawyer who wants to shape how legal supports a growing tech organisation.

This isn’t a traditional legal role. It’s a chance to roll up your sleeves, influence strategy and help us move to modern and efficient legal operations. If you’re passionate about contracts, systems and business enablement, this is your opportunity to make your mark.

Our culture

We’re not here to keep pace - we’re here to set it. Synectics is shaping the future of fraud prevention by pioneering research on emerging threats, influencing the next-generation of AML infrastructure and creating new products aligned with our client’s ambitions.

Together, we’ve stopped billions in fraud losses. But our impact reaches further: enabling growth, accelerating trust and transforming the fight against financial crime.

01. Application

We know that applying for a new role is a big decision. Our recruitment process is designed to be clear, fair and engaging, giving you the opportunity to showcase your experience while also getting to know us properly along the way.

Here’s what you can expect when you apply:

Once you apply, our Talent team (a real person, we promise), will carefully review your application against the role requirements. We’re looking beyond job titles – we want to understand your experience, potential and what you’re excited about next.

Tip: A clear CV that highlights your impact and achievements really helps us get to know you.

02. Screening Call

If your background looks like a good fit, we’ll invite you to a short screening call with a member of our Talent team.

This is an informal conversation where we’ll:

  • Talk through your experience and career goals
  • Share more about the role, team and company
  • Answer any initial questions you may have

It’s very much a two‑way conversation and a chance to see if we’re aligned.

03. First Stage Interview

Your first interview will typically be held via Teams and will focus on exploring your experience in more depth.

You’ll typically meet:

  • The hiring manager or a relevant stakeholder

During this stage, we’ll:

  • Dive into your skills and experience
  • Explore how you approach challenges and problem‑solving
  • Discuss how you like to work and what helps you perform at your best

We aim to keep this relaxed, structured and conversational.

04. Second‑Stage Interview (On‑Site)

The final stage is an on‑site interview, giving you the chance to meet more of the team and experience our working environment first‑hand.

This stage usually includes:

  • An interview with a Head of Department
  • A presentation or assessment exercise, relevant to the role

The assessment isn’t about catching you out – it’s designed to:

  • Reflect real aspects of the role
  • Show how you think, communicate and approach your work
  • Give you the opportunity to demonstrate your strengths in action

We’ll share clear guidance in advance so you know exactly how to prepare and what to expect.

05. Feedback & Outcome

We’re committed to providing clear and meaningful feedback at every stage. Whether successful or not, we’ll always aim to close the loop and keep you informed.

If things go well, we’ll be excited to talk through an offer and next steps.
