Tackling Economic Crime Award nomination for Cabinet Office

The Cabinet Office has been nominated for the ‘Outstanding Partnership’ Award at the Tackling Economic Crime Awards 2019 (TECA) for its partnership with Synectics Solutions and QBE.

The TECAs recognise and celebrate individuals and organisations who have been involved in combatting various areas of economic crime.

The nomination is in recognition of the collaborative work between The Cabinet Office, Synectics Solutions and QBE to help tackle fraud. The Cabinet Office shared data from the National Fraud Initiative (NFI), whilst Synectics Solutions provided their SIRA fraud detection solution to QBE to help identify fraud in the private insurance sector.

After successfully trialling the initiative, QBE saw an uplift in 45% of potential fraud when matching to NFI data and as a result have integrated the NFI data into their fraud detection systems.

Winners of the TECA awards will be announced on Monday 9th December at London’s Sheraton Grand Park Lane.
